Vibrating level limit sensors for liquids are a classic and versatile tool for such applications. They are suitable for virtually all types of liquids, including those with high hydrogen sulfide content.
Structurally, the sensor is designed in the form of a tuning fork, with one tine serving as the source of oscillations generated by a piezocrystal, and the other acting as a receiver at the resonant frequency. The operating principle is based on the sensor being triggered at the moment the oscillation frequency from the source changes, due to a change in the properties of the medium through which the signal propagates (appearance of liquid between the tines).
The signal generated upon triggering is converted into a control signal.
The device ensures high switching accuracy (within ±1 mm), regardless of the type of liquid or the type of tank. Thanks to specially developed electronics, the sensor is immune to external vibration, features self-diagnostics (corrosion level, sensor shutdown, signal cable break), and has immunity to product buildup on the active surface, changes in dimensions due to corrosion-related material loss, or deformation resulting from impact loads.
