Wires for submersible electric motors according to ST RK 3411-2019

  • Wires are designed for connecting submersible electric motors to electrical networks with a nominal voltage of 380, 660, and 3000 V AC at a frequency of 50 Hz. The climatic design type UHL, placement categories 1, 2, and 5 comply with GOST 15150.

Wire designs and application area

  • VPP – wire with a copper conductor, insulation, and a polyethylene sheath, with a nominal voltage of 380V and 660V. Used for submersible electric motors operating for extended periods in artesian well water under pressure up to 7.09 MPa (70 kgf/cm²) at ambient temperatures from -40 to 80 °C.

VPPU – wire with a copper conductor, thickened insulation, and a polyethylene sheath, with a nominal voltage of 3000V. Used for submersible electric

  • motors operating for extended periods in artesian well water under pressure of 17 MPa (150 kgf/cm²) at ambient temperatures from -40 to 80 °C.

VPV – wire with a copper conductor, polyethylene insulation, and a polyvinyl chloride plastic sheath, with a nominal voltage of 380V and 660V. Used for submersible electric motors operating for extended periods in artesian well water under pressure up to 7.09 MPa (70 kgf/cm²) at ambient temperatures from -40 to 65 °C.

  • The conductive core of the wires is made of copper wire and complies with class 2 of GOST 22483. Conductive cores with a cross-section of 25 and 35 mm² are made with a nineteen-wire structure. By agreement with the customer, wires with a 25 and 35 mm² core can be manufactured with a seven-wire structure.

The electrical resistance of the conductive cores to direct current, recalculated per 1 km of length at a temperature of 20 °C, complies with GOST 22483.

  • The average service life of the wires is at least 6 years for VPP and VPV wires and 3 years for VPPU wire, provided that the consumer (customer) complies with the conditions of transportation, storage, installation, and operation.

The actual service life is not limited to the specified period but is determined by the technical condition of the wires.

The materials used in the wire construction, under the specified storage and operating temperatures, do not release harmful substances in concentrations hazardous to human health or polluting the environment.
