Purpose

  • Brightness regulators (GERDA-RY) with a rated power of 2.5 / 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 kVA are designed to stabilize and regulate current in cable loops of airfield lighting systems with series circuit configurations.

  • The GERDA-RY regulators utilize modern electronic components predominantly of domestic production.

Main parameters and specifications

    • current regulation is based on the principle of thyristor phase control;
    • the output current circuit provides galvanic isolation using an air-cooled transformer;
    • the regulator’s multiprocessor control system ensures control, measurement, and stabilization of the output current according to the selected brightness step;
    • use of standard current tables for brightness step regulation, as well as user-defined current tables stored in the non-volatile memory of the control unit;
    • continuous insulation monitoring of the cable loop;
    • retention of the last selected setting in the regulator’s memory in case of power outage or remote control system failure;
    • data display on a four-line alphanumeric LCD screen;
    • current system: 6.6 A;
    • capability of setting up to 8 brightness steps;
    • overcurrent and overvoltage protection with current loop blocking and alarm signaling;
    • burned lamp monitoring system;
    • remote and local control options;
    • remote control capability via a single RS-485 communication line using MODBUS protocol;
    • convenient access to replaceable components, modules, and instruments for efficient maintenance and repair;
    • all important information regarding regulator operation, the number of burned lamps, and insulation status is displayed on the control panel;
    • data input, settings, and calibration of the regulator are performed using control buttons on the control panel;
    • automatic disconnection of the power transformer primary winding upon activation of any protection system;
    • operating time tracking of the CCR (Constant Current Regulator);
    • four casters on the bottom of the regulator facilitate its movement;
    • degree of protection – IP 31 according to GOST 14254-2015.
