The IP 330-GERDA detector is designed to detect flame sources by their characteristic infrared radiation, registered in three spectral wavelength ranges, which enhances noise immunity and eliminates the possibility of false alarms, removing the need for an ultraviolet detection channel. The fire alarm signal is transmitted to fire alarm control panels and/or automation systems.
The IP 330-GERDA is intended for operation in hazardous areas of classes 1 and 2 according to GOST R 51330.9 (B-1A, B-1G in accordance with Chapter 7.3 of the Electrical Installation Code) in indoor facilities and outdoor installations (such as tank farms, filling racks, pumping stations, etc.). The detector is marked with explosion protection rating 1Ex d ib IIC T4 Gb.
The IP 330-GERDA is oriented toward the most likely direction of flame appearance, taking into account a stable detection range of 25 meters and a viewing angle of at least 90°.
Structurally, the detector consists of a housing mounted on a swivel bracket. The housing is made of a corrosion-resistant modified aluminum-silicon alloy. It is resistant to various types of chemical corrosion (salt, alkaline, acidic). Inside the housing are optical sensors and electronic modules. The cable is routed into the housing through an explosion-proof cable gland.
The IP 330-GERDA detector is available in the following versions:
Purpose and application area
The TF-GERDA test flashlight is designed for testing the operability of IP 330-GERDA flame fire detectors. The testing is performed remotely, without dismantling the flame detector.
The TF-GERDA can be used in hazardous areas.
Operation description
Activation and control of operating modes are carried out using a button located on the body of the TF-GERDA test flashlight. Before use, the battery charge level of the TF-GERDA must be checked. If necessary, the battery should be removed and charged outside the hazardous area. The charge level can be checked when the TF-GERDA is turned on: if fully charged, the built-in laser pointer will blink four times; two minutes before full discharge, the laser pointer will start flashing short pulses every 3 seconds.
To test the operability of the IP 330-GERDA flame detector, switch on the TF-GERDA test flashlight and aim it toward the detector from a distance of 0.3 to 5 meters. The laser pointer enables precise alignment of the flashlight with the flame detector. After TF-GERDA is turned on, the infrared emitter starts blinking at a specific frequency, simulating flame flicker. Within 5–10 seconds, the IP 330-GERDA should trigger, and a red LED will light up on its panel.
