Purpose

  • The Guaranteed Power Distributor (GERDA-RGP) is a complete distribution unit that provides automatic, uninterrupted switching between main power inputs and a backup input from a diesel generator set, as well as uninterrupted power supply to secondary distribution units of airport electrical installations.

  • GERDA-RGP 160 / 250 / 400 / 630 A ensures uninterrupted power distribution for runway lighting equipment of ICAO categories I, II, and III.

The Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is a device that provides backup power supply to loads connected to a power system with two input sources and automatic connection of backup power sources in case of primary source failure.

Properties of the guaranteed power distributor:

    • Automatic switching time – up to 1 second,
    • Full functionality of the GERDA-RGP guaranteed power distributor is retained in manual mode even in the absence of voltage.
    • Automation functions can be modified by reprogramming the PLC.
    • Adjustable parameters can be changed over a wide range via the controller panel.
    • Possibility of connecting the distributor without cable ducts (top-entry installation available).
    • Reactivation of the selected actuator after power loss in “manual” mode.
    • Event archiving.
    • GERDA-RGP operation is automatically logged in the user interface of the ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) system.
    • The design of the GERDA-RGP guaranteed power distributor provides front access to all components, allowing the unit to be mounted with its rear panel directly against a wall.

Standard configuration of the distributor:

    • Busbar assembly rated at 400/630 A depending on the RGP type.
    • Input circuit breakers rated at 160 / 250 / 400 / 630 A depending on the RGP type.
    • Two sectional circuit breakers rated at 160 / 250 / 400 / 630 A depending on the RGP type.
    • Sectional circuit breaker for the ATS backup input (depending on the RGP type).
    • ATS controller with control panel.
    • Uninterruptible power supply for control and monitoring circuits, 1500 VA.
    • Voltage measurement on input lines.
    • Current and frequency measurement.
    • Outgoing line for auxiliary power supply of the diesel generator set.

Options:

    • Remote control and monitoring via Ethernet network with display for operating personnel.
