An above-ground runway guard light, compliant with the requirements of FAP-381, AP-170, FAA AC 150/5345-46, Annex 14 Volume I “Aerodromes” to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, and Doc 9157 “Aerodrome Design Manual.”
It is intended to provide warning against runway incursions and is recommended for installation at each taxiway/runway intersection identified as a runway incursion hotspot. It can be used in all weather conditions, both day and night.
The use of Gerda-RGL runway guard lights enhances the visibility of the “STOP” bar lights located at runway holding positions equipped for precision approach operations.
