VP – wires with copper conductors insulated with polyethylene, designed for industrial blasting operations. Wires with a conductor diameter of 0.5mm are used as lead-out ends for electric detonators, while those with diameters of 0.7mm and 0.8mm are used for main lines.
The wires are designed for short-term operation at 380V and instantaneous operation at 660V AC or 1500V DC. Instantaneous operation at a DC voltage of up to 3000V is allowed.
The insulated conductors of the two-core wire are twisted with a pitch of no more than 20 diameters of the twist. By agreement with the customer, the production of a non-twisted two-core wire is allowed.
Construction length of the wire:
— at least 1500 m for a wire with a conductor diameter of 0.5 mm;
— at least 500 m for a wire with a conductor diameter of 0.7 mm and 0.8 mm.
