The flexible power cable GERDA-TFL is designed for use in telephone exchanges, mobile base stations, data centers, uninterruptible power supplies, and similar equipment where a cable with low inductance and high electromagnetic compatibility is required. The GERDA-TFL cable can serve as a replacement for the TFL 492 32 (Ericsson) cable.
The cable is intended for the transmission and distribution of electrical power in stationary DC installations with a nominal voltage of 600V, a nominal AC voltage of U = 380V at a frequency of 50Hz, and a maximum AC voltage of Um = 600V.
Fire-resistant “FR” cables are used for connecting devices that must remain operational in fire conditions.
GERDA-TFL is produced with multi-stranded tinned or copper “m” conductors of Class 5 according to GOST 22483-2012 (high flexibility). The conductors are flat-shaped, consisting of three parallel-laid strands of soft copper wires.
The nominal cross-section of the copper conductors: 2.5; 4; 6; 10; 16; 25 mm². By agreement with the customer, cables with a different number of conductors and nominal cross-section can be manufactured.
In fire-resistant “FR” cables, a wrapping of two mica-containing tapes is applied over the conductors, preventing them from short-circuiting in case of fire.
The conductor insulation can be made of:
One conductor is insulated in gray, the other in black.
An overall shield may be applied over the core of two flat conductors, available in the following types:
Cables may have armor under the outer sheath:
The outer sheath can be made of (see Table 3):
The color of the outer sheath is specified when ordering. If not specified, the sheath is produced in gray; for the “UF” version, the sheath is black.
Such cables have a fire hazard rating of “ng(C)-HF” or “ng(C)-FRHF” and are less flexible due to the rigid sheath.
