  • The core insulation can be made of:

    “B” – polyvinyl chloride plastic, including low-combustible, low-fire-hazard, and low-toxicity combustion products.

  • The core insulation is extruded, closely adheres to the conductors, and is free of foreign inclusions. The outer surface of the insulation is smooth, without dents, bubbles, or cracks that would cause the insulation thickness to exceed permissible deviations.

  • The insulated cores of PVS wires are twisted without a filler.

A sheath is applied to the twisted insulated cores:
    – for PVS wires, the sheath is made of polyvinyl chloride plastic.
    – for PVSng(A) wires, the sheath is made of low-combustibility polyvinyl chloride plastic.
    – for PVSng(A)-LS wires, the sheath is made of low-fire-hazard polyvinyl chloride plastic with reduced smoke and gas emissions.

The sheath is applied with filler between the cores, giving the wire a round shape.

  • A sheath is applied to the parallel-laid insulated cores:
    – for SHVVP cords, the sheath is made of polyvinyl chloride plastic.
    – for SHVVPng(A) cords, the sheath is made of low-combustibility polyvinyl chloride plastic.
    – for SHVVPng(A)-LS cords, the sheath is made of low-fire-hazard polyvinyl chloride plastic with reduced smoke and gas emissions.

The sheath must be easily separable from the core insulation.
