Power cables for non-stationary installation of the KGTP brand according to GOST 24334-2020

  • KGTP is a flexible power cable with current-carrying conductors made of copper wire, insulated and sheathed with thermoplastic elastomer.

  • It is designed for connecting mobile machines, mechanisms, and equipment to electrical networks and mobile power sources with a nominal voltage of no more than 450/750 V AC at a frequency of up to 400 Hz.

Cable construction

  • – Current-carrying conductors made of copper wire, flexibility class 5 according to GOST 22483-2012;
    – Conductor insulation made of thermoplastic elastomer. The insulation thickness and category comply with the requirements of GOST 23286-78;
    – Cable sheath made of thermoplastic elastomer. The sheath thickness complies with the requirements of GOST 23286-78.

  • The cables comply with the requirements of the technical regulation TR CU 004/2011 “On the safety of low-voltage equipment,” GOST 24334, and are manufactured according to technological documentation approved in the prescribed manner.

    The cables meet the climatic performance standards U, UHL, and HL, placement categories 1-5 according to GOST 15150. They are designed for operation in modes 2 (medium) and 3 (light) in accordance with GOST 24334.

Table 2. Colors of insulation for main conductors, grounding conductors, and neutral conductor

The insulation of the grounding conductor (PE) is green-yellow, and the insulation of the neutral conductor (N) is blue.
The insulation of auxiliary conductors can be any of the colors listed in Table 2, except for blue and green-yellow.
By agreement with the consumer, it is allowed to mark the insulation of conductors with numbers starting from one, except for the grounding and neutral conductors.
With numerical marking, all insulated conductors of the same color, except for the green-yellow grounding conductor and the blue neutral conductor, are marked.

  • The electrical resistance of the current-carrying conductors to direct current, recalculated per 1 km of cable length at a temperature of 20°C, complies with GOST 22483.

    A separating layer of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film tapes is applied over the twisted insulated conductors of the cables. The outer gaps between the twisted insulated conductors are filled simultaneously with the application of the outer thermoplastic elastomer sheath. The sheath color is black. For cables in HL execution, the sheath color can be blue or black.

    KGTP cables are resistant to ambient temperatures ranging from 40°C to -40°C.

  • Cables with HL climatic performance are resistant to temperature fluctuations from -60°C to +80°C.

    The cables withstand exposure to relative air humidity up to 98% at an ambient temperature of up to +35°C.

    The minimum service life of the cables is 4 years.

    The service life is counted from the date of manufacture of the cables.

    The actual service life is not limited by the specified period but is determined by the technical condition of the cables.
